Jewellery Gift Guide for Her (That She'll Actually Wear)
Share
Buying jewellery for someone else is stressful. You want it to be meaningful. You want her to love it. And ideally, you want her to actually wear it, not smile politely and put it in a drawer next to the necklace from two birthdays ago.
We've been making jewellery at The Littl for over 10 years, and we've shipped thousands of gift orders. Here's what we've learned about what people actually want to receive (and what they quietly return).
The golden rule of jewellery gifts
Buy something she can wear every day. Not something she saves for "special occasions." The pieces that get the most love are the ones that become part of someone's daily uniform. The earrings she puts in and forgets about. The necklace she never takes off.
Statement pieces are fun to give but risky, because they're style-specific and might not match her wardrobe. Classic, everyday pieces are almost always the safer and more appreciated choice.
By budget
Under $100
Classic Stud Earrings, $47.99
Simple, beautiful, hypoallergenic. These are the earrings she'll wear every day without thinking about it. Perfect for someone who keeps their jewellery minimal, or as a thoughtful add-on to a bigger gift.
Bar Stud Earrings, $32.00
A slightly more modern take on the classic stud. The clean bar shape looks effortlessly cool and works in any piercing position.
$100 to $150
Thin Snake Necklace, $123.99
If she doesn't already have a go-to everyday necklace, this is it. The snake chain sits flat, catches the light, and goes with everything. One of those gifts where she puts it on immediately and doesn't take it off.
$150+
Freshwater Pearl Thick Hoop Earrings, $159.99
Our bestseller and honestly the safest "wow" gift in our range. The pearl adds a touch of elegance, the gold-filled hoops are waterproof and hypoallergenic, and the size works for pretty much everyone. This is the gift that gets a genuine reaction.

Large Freshwater Pearl Necklace, $179.00
For the person who appreciates something with a bit more presence. The pearl drop is beautiful and the whole piece feels special without being over the top. Comes beautifully packaged too (we get a lot of messages about our packaging, honestly).
"Fantastic service and the earrings are absolutely gorgeous and one of the best easiest fitting earrings I've ever worn. I loved them so much I bought another pair for my husband to give me for Christmas." Lorraine, on Large CZ Hoop Earrings
Gift-buying tips
When in doubt, go with earrings. Necklace lengths are personal. Ring sizes are tricky. Earrings are the safest jewellery gift because fit isn't really an issue.
Gold-filled over gold-plated, always. If you want the gift to last years (and you do), gold-filled is worth the extra spend. Nothing says "I didn't think about this much" like a gift that tarnishes in a month.
Check if she has sensitive ears. If she's ever mentioned earrings irritating her skin, gold-filled or solid gold are the only safe options. The kind of thoughtful detail that makes a gift feel personal.
And don't overthink the style. Classic shapes (hoops, studs, simple chains) are classic for a reason. They work with everything and never go out of fashion.
Gifting occasions
