With a focus on helping our planet, Littl swim and The Littl have proudly partnered with the Eden Reforestation Project (Eden), to assist with their non-profit organisation, that focuses on reforestation and ecological restoration.
Eden reduces extreme poverty and restores healthy forests by employing local villagers to plant millions of trees every year, in countries such as Mozambique, Madagascar, Nepal, Haiti, Central America, Indonesia, and Kenya. Planting trees not only restores healthy forests, to combat the devastating effects of deforestation, but positively impacts the livelihood of these communities as well, helping to reduce extreme poverty, and giving the villagers a better life for their families and themselves.
Other benefits of planting trees:
1. Reducing Climate Change- by reducing the harmful CO2, which is the biggest current problem the world is dealing with. They absorb C02, and release oxygen in return. Fun fact, an acre of mature trees can provide oxygen for 18 people yearly.
2. Purifying Air- Trees absorb pollutant gases such as ozone, nitrogen oxides, sulfur dioxide, and ammonia, as well as absorb odours, and act as a filter as little particulates get trapped in leaves, making it cleaner for us to breathe.
3. Providing Food and Shelter for Wildlife - It's no secret that our furry & flying friends need trees to survive, with many relying on them to build their homes/nests, find food, and reproduce. Trees also provide shade, reduce water and air temperatures, and contribute to the overall health of aquatic ecosystems by providing habitat, shelter and food to our aquatic species.
Remember, a Littl goes a long way!
A simple donation of $0.15AUD will plant a tree, and make a positive difference on the environment, and on people's lives. 100% of donations will go to the Eden Reforestation Project.
